Articles of Faith

1. We believe in one true and living God and the trinity of persons in the Godhead-Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and yet not three but one God. Duet.6:4; Mal.2:10: I Cor.8:6;I John 5:7.

2. We believe that the Old and New Testaments are the written words of God and the only rule of faith and practice, and prefer translation made under the authority of King James to any now extant. 2 Tim.3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21.

3. We believe that the whole human family were created in Adam, their seminal head, and that all alike fell in him by his Transgression of the law, and all partake of his sinful nature. Acts 17:26; Romans 5:12,18.

4. We believe in the covenant of redemption by the Holy Trinity and that a definite number of the fallen sons and daughters of Adam were chosen in Christ before the world began, that they should be holy and without blame before Him in love. 2 Sam. 23:5; Psa. 89:28; Heb. 13:20; Eph. 1:4; John 6:37-40

5. We believe that all chosen in Christ shall be called, regenerated and sanctified by the Holy Spirit; and that they will all be justified in the sight of God by the righteousness of Christ imputed to them by Faith and will be preserved through Grace and never fall finally away. John 6:45; Rom. 8:28-30; 2 Thes. 2:13; John 10:28,29.

6. We believe that Eternal life is the gift of God, and good works are the fruit of the faith, and justify us in the sight of man and angels as evidence of our gracious state. Eph. 2:8, 10; Gals. 5:22; Rom. 5:1; Heb. 11:6.

7. We believe that all the spiritual blessings that are essential for consummation of the eternal salvation of the elect were given them in Christ before the world began, and in time bestowed upon them by virtue of His atonement for them. Eph. 1:3; 2nd Tim. 2:19; Rom. 5:11.

8. We believe that baptism and the Lord's supper are ordinances of Jesus Christ and that true believers are the only subjects of baptism and that Immersion is the only apostolic mode. Matt. 3:16; Matt. 26:26,28; Acts 8:12,37,39; Rom. 6:4.

9. We believe that washing the saints feet is a duty enjoined by Jesus Christ, and should be done in church capacity. John 13; I Tim. 5:10; Matt. 28:20.

10. We believe that no minister has any right to administer the ordinances of the gospel but one who is regularly baptized and called of God and has come under the imposition of the hands of presbytery. Acts 13:2; Heb. 5:4; Matt. 19:28.

11. We believe that none but regularly baptized believers have a right to commune at the Lord's table. Luke 22:29,30; Matt. 26:20,29.

12. We believe in the resurrection of the just and unjust and that the vile bodies of the saints shall be fashioned like unto the glorious body of Christ, and the felicity of the saints and punishment of the wicked shall be everlasting. I John 3:2; Romans 8:11; Philippians 3:21; I Cor. 15:49; Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29.
